Red Bull’s mission to give wings to dancers involved seeking breakers from across Johannesburg, East London, Cape Town, and Oudtshoorn and eventually selecting the most talented to compete at the Red Bull BC One National final. Taking place on 22 April 2023, the finals will see a variety of styles on display as the breakers jostle for the coveted prize at this year’s edition which marks 16 years of Red Bull BC One in South Africa. Different flows, pops, locks, and freezes will be broken out for what is the most prestigious one-on-one breakdancing event in the world.
The glamorous Sun Exhibits, GrandWest will provide the perfect backdrop for the festivities, where the nation’s top 20 breakers (16 b-boys and 4 b-girls) will strut their stuff on the Mother City’s dancefloors for a chance to represent Mzansi at the Red Bull BC One World Finals taking place in Paris’ Stade Roland-Garros on October 21, 2023
