All eyes will be on the Northern Cape as the province has been selected to be the host of 2024 World Tourism Day!
Tourism South Africa theme, “Tourism and Peace – 30 Years of Connecting People to Places and Cultures,” says it all!
Part of this year’s focus is to look into learning about the province, its rich heritage and cultural landscape.

Did you know that NC has a beach?
Well, look no further. They have the widest choice of beaches, make time and visit NC beaches in Hondeklipbaai, Kleinzee, Alexander Bay or Port Nolloth and create some memories of the small dorpies with your loved ones
Witsand Nature Reserve – white sand dunes surrounded by red Kalahari sands, the Witsand Kalahari Nature Reserve spans around 3500 hectares, and is known for its “roaring” sands.
Namaqua National Park- a floral wonderland with over 3 500 species of flowers
Augrabies Falls – Aukoerebis’, or “Place of Great Noise, from which the current name was derived. The 56-metre high waterfall is unleashed from its rocky surroundings into the 18-km Orange River Gorge
Kamfer Dam – one of only four breeding sites for lesser flamingos in Africa and six in the world
The Big Hole of Kimberley
Sutherland – The largest optical telescope in the southern hemisphere, the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) is situated on a mountain top 14 km out of the town and it attracts visitors from around the globe
The Eye of Kuruman – biggest natural springs in the southern hemisphere. It supplies around 20-million litres of fresh water daily to Kuruman
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park – southern Kalahari that straddles the border between South Africa and Botswana
