Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair

MM | 9 October 2017

The fair that embodies the elegance and audacity of all things ‘well made in Africa’.

There’s some level of authenticity when it comes to hand-crafted pieces, which evoke emotions. The annual Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair (Sanlam HmC Fair) is back with exploding innovative design, food and wine.

In its eight year running, with no short of inspiration and innovative emotions being stirred each year, the fair is set to transform the rooftop of Hyde Park Corner from the 13 to 15  October 2017.

Artlogoic, the founders of the Sanlam HmC Fair since 2010, have pride in bringing together some of the most unique and innovative creatives to showcase novel crafts and items and also being the first event to combine food, wine and design – no better combo!

“There’s something very special about having the opportunity to take an ordinary concrete slab and transform it into an eclectic, energetic arena that gives a platform to some of this continent’s foremost creators. For us, Africa is a hub of talent incubation that brings something unique to the rest of the world,” said Mandla Sibeko, director of Artlogic.

The unmissable occasion year on year encourages guests to mingle with chefs, vignerons and designers, to hear their stories and purchase a few of their bespoke goods.
