Luxury and glamour in the sports industry make a perfect cold afternoon in Johannesburg June a little more fabulous. The Game, the Champagne and #ArtAndAfricanSpirit is exactly the Prestigious Cell C Inanda Africa Cup.

The tournament over the years has brought together a display of exceptional horsemanship amongst teams from Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe; with the closely contested and fast-paced final hosted on Sunday, 16 June 2019.  This highly anticipated tournament will be attended by a premium audience of 3 500+ prestigious guests; business elite, celebrities, influencers, VIPs, polo lovers, and society figures, from across the continent.  In true polo tradition, the tournament pays honour to the high-speed, high-skill game of polo – The Game of Kings.

Throwing back to 2018, the tournament, in its tradition, featured 8 teams participating in over 12 high octane games over 3 days of bumper-to bumper action. As anticipated, the fiesta provided a perfect platform for the best of African polo display. At the end of the clash, the South African team, Verdant Capital, with a home ground advantage, edged STL Nigeria to win the event’s biggest prize, the coveted Cell C Inanda Africa Cup Trophy.

Cell C welcomes polo enthusiasts to the Inanda Club to enjoy an afternoon fête complete with an exhilarating day of polo; The theme promises several artistic interpretations through African artistry, live fashion, cuisine, set against the background of the game.
