Migos Culture Tour
By TM | 3 October 2017
Between Rain Drop, Drop Tops and Versace, we will be ready with our T-shirts for the Migos Culture Tour!
Anybody who tells you that Migos, Made up of family members: Offset, Takeoff and Quavo, has not contributed culturally to the music and fashion scene must not know what the term influencer means nor have they hung around Braam enough.
The trap music trio’s ‘bad and boujee’ embodies the saying of “get you a girl or guy that can do both”, meaning that you can prim and proper and still keep it gangster. On a more philosophical level and the groups persona encourages us all to embody a multitude of interests and personas and to not allow ourselves to be boxed into singular categories.
The floral shirts, jewellery and fur coats are perfectly juxtaposed against their strong trap lyrics indicates that it is possible and even necessary for one to embody the supposedly feminine alongside the masculine. Who can forget how elegantly one of the members, Offset rolled up his floral shirt sleeves in preparation to get into a physical altercation with Joe Budden.
The Migos culture tour promises to not only be an epic two nights of trap music mayhem but it will no doubt also be a showcase of the trendiest and most colourful fashion gathering. Beyond music this promises to be a cultural experience that is not to be missed.
The local supporting acts add even more to the culture tour with musical heavy weights such as the Supa Mega – AKA, the original king of South African haute couture, music and fashion, King Kotini as well as Africa’s coolest kid Nasty C and of course Babes Wodumo…for the culture. The Braam Lords and cool kids wouldn’t have it any other way.
