Pan African Rum Festival
3 April 2019
This Sunday, we are going RUM! Beach sand, an epic music line up and a variety of delicacies await festival goers at the second annual Pan African Rum Festival in Johannesburg.
Neighbourgoods Market will be transformed into an indoor beach complete with two stages, 8 musical performances, 4 pop up eateries and a plethora of some of the world’s best tasting rums. For the second year in a row, Bacardí, the world’s best-selling and most awarded rum will showcase it’s core and premium range of rum offerings to consumers from all over the continent. This vibrant and highly entertaining festival re-introduces the spirit as the original heart of cocktail culture, a spirit that owns and celebrates good times.
Historically, rum has been misunderstood, plagued by pirates, punch, and cola. When in fact, rum has one of the most diverse flavour profiles of all spirits. As the category leaders in the sector, Bacardí is riding the cocktail wave, so much so that rum cocktails are among the 10 most popular drinks today.
